Personal Statement about Training Program:
I got to know focusing during my training as a client-centered therapist in 1977; 1983 I came to Chicago to a workshop with Gene Gendlin and since this time the experiental approach became a basic orientation in my life as a psychologist (professor at a university, psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer for therapists and counselors). In 1987 I founded, together with Dieter Müller, the FZK - Focusing Zentrum Karlsruhe in Germany, where we developped experiential programms within and beyond psychotherapy. 1994, 1997, 2000 and 2003 we hosted the International Focusing Conference in Pforzheim. By now, we offer Fousing Training (basic and advanced), Counseling, Coaching and Supervision. Special issues: professional communication at the workplace; decision making in counseling and coaching; a focusing based approach 'coping with physical illness' and 'focusing and health psychology'
