Personal Statement about Training Program: I learned Focusing in 1971 from Eugene Gendlin and have been teaching Focusing since 1973. I have enjoyed using Focusing in my psychotherapy practice and presenting Focusing workshops around the world. I am excited about helping people get in touch with their inner wisdom and distinguish it from their inner critic. I taught counseling psychology at the graduate level for six years, directed a National Institute of Mental Health research project, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in India. In 1998 my book, INTEGRATING SPIRITUALITY IN COUNSELING, (using Focusing) was published by the American Counseling Association.
A Sample of my Work: Please see my web site and the web site of The Focusing Institute.
