Personal Statement about Training Program: I became a Certified Focusing Professional (especially Inner Relationship Focusing with Ann Weiser Cornell) in April 2010. Knowing first-hand the implicit challenges within a journey through profound healing and change, I am continually filled with wonder and amazement as I witness the ever-increasing flow of life-forward energy made possible through regular Focusing practice. My evolving skills fuel a deep, continuous longing to share Focusing with others. As a nurse with nearly four decades of knowledge and experience within both allopathic and integrative health traditions, I continually strive to provide “an environment which facilitates, rather than disturbs, the natural healing process” (Florence Nightingale). And, as a scholar, I have maintained an ongoing fascination to better understand and facilitate individuals’ journeys through growth and change).
