Personal Statement about Training Program:
I started my training in Focusing in 2006 and went on to become a Certified Focusing-Oriented Therapist in 2009. As my focus has always been on integrating Focusing into my psychotherapy practice, I have taught Focusing to clients, other therapists and to interested Focusers. I continue to develop my Focusing skills through a monthly FOT supervision group with a Certifying Focusing Coordinator.
In my practice, I specialize in treating Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and addictive behaviors.
In addition to traditional talk therapies, I cross Focusing with mind-body awareness techniques to help connect to the wisdom and inner direction of the body. I aim to help you to develop compassion for all that you are, even the parts you've long struggled to accept, so that a fuller sense of self can emerge, moving you in a life-forward direction.
