Personal Statement about Training Program: The poet Rilke once wrote “ there is some ancient enmity between life and the great work”. I think 'the great work' that Rilke refers to is ourselves. This can be understood in a number of ways: becoming who you are, being more authentic or fully individual, developing a direction and purpose towards life’s possibilities.
