Personal Statement about Training Program: As a therapist, I have learned to believe in miracles. With the right support, people grow and transform themselves in ways far beyond anything I could have imagined.
As a specialist in the treatment of trauma, I've worked with a variety of people, created a number of innovative treatment programs, published in professional journals, lectured to professional and lay audiences, and have been interviewed on national television. I have witnessed some very intense situations. And repeatedly, I've seen miracles happen when people can find their own ground and grow from the inside. So now, I'm not surprised anymore. I count on miracles.
I also believe in philosophy; not as “truth”, but as a path. For three years, I've been learning A Process Model directly from Gene Gendlin. The philosophy is amazing and wonderful, and constantly deepens my workshops, my therapy, and my life.
