because everybody can participate with his or her individual experience
|
because everybody can share his or her personal experiences in relation to children - as educator, parent, friend or therapist
|
because we all care for the children we are related to |
Let me say a couple of words to the motto of the conference:
“Children’s inner & outer space”
How does the “outer space” of children look like nowadays?
The social challenges in our late- or post-modern society a huge.
We can speak about a growing diversity in all fields of life, which makes
it more difficult for the child to find his or her “place” or “space” in
the social context:
Children have to make CHOICES! Children have to find orientation!
And parents and educators, actually all adults of our society have growing difficulties to provide orientation for themselves and for the younger generation.
My hypothesis is: It is difficult to find orientation in the social
environment or “outer space” without having developed an “inner space”.
That means: We all need to clear our minds. We all need to express our
experiences and emotions.
As more “inner space” we develop as more “inner peace” we will
experience.
The development of “inner peace” will help us to establish positive
relationships and make us more open for
new challenges in the social world.
By developing “inner peace” we can help to stimulate “outer peace” between human beings and in our social environment.
|
Focusing can be a very useful method to develop inner peace.
|
Focusing helps to clear our own mind and widen our experiential horizon.
|
Focusing helps to understand yourself and others better and
|
it helps to accept the other on his or her experiential background. |
In that sense, focusing can be a medium to work for more “outer peace”.
Let us use the days here in Salgótarján to develop our resource.
The first time here showed me that we have the best possibilities for
that.
Finally, I would like to thank everybody who helped to make the conference happen.
I am sure we will have a great time.
