Aging and Focusing - A Shared Exploration

Aging and Focusing — A Shared Exploration

CONNECTION>CONVERSATION>COMMUNITY

The TIFI Membership Committee offers this new series of Focusing Roundtables especially for members of the Institute. This program affords you a valuable opportunity to engage in casual peer-to-peer conversation with other members who share Focusing-related interests.

Who should attend? Members who have experience, curiosity, or interest in the topic.

What to expect: Each Focusing Roundtable is designed to promote informal peer-to-peer conversation. Rather than acting as expert presenters, the Hosts will serve as conversation moderators to encourage sharing and exploration of the topics from the participants' own perspectives. All participants' sharings are welcome and valuable, no matter what level of experience or knowledge you have on the topic. To preserve the nature of informal conversation, the program will be offered live only and no recordings will be available. Registration is limited to 20 members on a first-come, first served basis.

You are invited to participate in a Deeper Listening & Sharing Circleabout our Focusing practices in our later years. Come share your changes, insights, gifts, and challenges.
Some questions we might explore together are:

  • How has Focusing helped you with the critical life issues that aging brings for you or your aging relatives or friends?
  • Has your Focusing experience or practice changed as you have aged?
  • How are our experiences alike or different? Are there common themes that beg further discussions?

We hope that our conversation will bring inspiration, discovery, and connection among us.  If you are interested in carrying this Roundtable conversation forward, please plan to stay a few moments after our designated time together to explore ideas for further meeting options.

Registration Closes:
Wednesday, February 15, 2017 or when the 20-person participant capacity has been reached, whichever is sooner.

Zoom: This conversation will take place on an online video conference service called Zoom. Please attend by computer so that we can have your video presence as well as your audio. Calling in by phone is also possible but not preferred.

Price: The host and co-hosts are volunteering their time in order that this program may be brought to members of TIFI at no charge.

PLEASE NOTE:  When you register here, you will be asked to confirm that you are a member.  If you are not a member, you may click on the option to receive information about how to become a member.  After membership is confirmed and you have registered here, watch for an email containing a link to take you to the conference room at the start time.  You will simply click on the link or paste it into your browser to enter the conference.

Sorry, this offering is now full.
