The TIFI Membership Committee is pleased to offer this Focusing Roundtable designed especially for members of the Institute.  This is an invitation to all of you who have experienced loss, or are curious about how Gendlin’s work can help with loss.  Rather than a process group, this Roundtable will provide an opportunity for us to share how being in touch with two natural human processes - Focusing and Grieving - can carry us forward in positive ways.  As we share and learn about Focusing and Loss, some possible questions we might explore together are:

  • How have you used Focusing to help yourself and others with loss?
  • How can loss carry us forward?
  • How can we apply Gendlin’s work, including Thinking At the Edge and The Process Model, to losses in our lives?

If these questions interest you, we hope you will join us for this Roundtable.  Bring your own experiences, questions and curiosity—and a pen and paper!

CONNECTION>CONVERSATION>COMMUNITY

What to expect: Each Focusing Roundtable is designed to promote informal peer-to-peer conversation.  Rather than acting as expert presenters, the Hosts will serve as conversation moderators to encourage sharing and exploration of the topics from the participants’ own perspectives.  All participants’ sharings are welcome and valuable, no matter what level of experience or knowledge you have on the topic. To preserve the nature of informal conversation, the program will be offered live only and no recordings will be available. Registration is limited and on a first-come, first served basis. Participants are encouraged to create follow up opportunities for connection among themselves after the Roundtable.
