The TIFI Membership Committee is pleased to offer this Focusing Roundtable designed especially for members of the Institute. This is an invitation to all of you who have experienced cancer either personally or with a loved one or who work with clients with cancer and/or their family.

This Roundtable will provide an opportunity for us to share how Focusing can be useful (or not) in being with the multitude of physical, emotional, social and spiritual challenges of living with cancer. We will invite you to share your own instances of how Focusing may or may not have helped you, your loved ones, or your clients with dealing with cancer.

For example: Tine might share some experiences of her work as an oncopsychologist and as a caregiver in her family. As a result of her research on Clearing A Space and cancer, Doralee may share her way of working with people with cancer. How about you? What is alive for you about Focusing and cancer? We would like to hear it.

Our intention is for our conversation to have a breadth of openness for everyone to share, to listen and to learn from what is most true about our experiences of cancer, whether as a patient, a caregiver or a professional.

After we share and learn about Focusing and cancer, we will open the floor for thinking together of possible next steps.

If this interests you, we hope you will join us for this Roundtable. Bring your own experiences, questions and thoughts—and a pen and paper!

CONNECTION>CONVERSATION>COMMUNITY

What to expect from Focusing Roundtables: Each Focusing Roundtable is designed to promote informal peer-to-peer conversation  Rather than acting as expert presenters, the Hosts will serve as conversation moderators to encourage sharing and exploration of the topics from the participants’ own perspectives. All participants’ sharings are welcome and valuable, no matter what level of experience or knowledge you have on the topic. To preserve the nature of informal conversation, the program will be offered live only and no recordings will be available. Registration is limited and on a first-come, first served basis. Participants are encouraged to create follow up opportunities for connection among themselves after the Roundtable.
