An Online Class Facilitated by Masumi Maeda and Tine Swyngedouw
Part of The Focusing Highlights Series
(Class will be recorded for participants. No special computer skill or equipment required.)
This Focusing Highlight will show the power of adding interaction to Focusing. It enhances deeper self-understanding, empathically understanding others, and the feeling of connection between partners.
In this webinar, participants will gain an understanding of the framework and view a demonstration of all the steps of Interactive Focusing. You will learn how it differs from Focusing, particularly the step called "The Double Empathic Moment", which is a feature characteristic of Interactive Focusing. There will also be experiential exercises.
Since Interactive Focusing has earned a good reputation as a very effective method for empathic listening skill training, we invite not only professionals such as therapists, career counselors, teachers, and care givers, but also everybody with a basic knowledge of Focusing to participate in this webinar. All are welcome.
Both presenters will speak English slowly and use easy to understand terms.

Registration closes Friday, April 5, 2019.
The video link will be to an easy to use website called Zoom. In this webinar format, you will see the teachers and host, but you will not be seen. You will be able to ask questions during the webinar by typing them. During this live class, the teachers also plan to ask for volunteers for a live demonstration.
You will need to have a computer/mobile device. Calling in by phone is also possible but not preferred. All registered participants will be sent a link to the video recording approximately two weeks following the course. So if you are unable to attend in person, you will still be able to view the class.
